HUMDRUM Studio is where I become creative and bring out my obsession for collecting beautiful items.
I'm an enthusiast for everything that's vintage or second hand. For almost anything I need my first address is Kleinanzeigen or different flea markets all over Berlin.
With Everything but HUMDRUM I wanna spread the word that we don't have to buy new and can make choices for beautiful design without using new resources.
Instead we can dress individually, decide for up cycled materials and create a cozy home with vintage and second hand pieces.What’s Everything but HUMDRUM all about?
Why a studio?
Not being able to decide or focus on one thing at a time is probably my biggest soft spot and strength at the same time. My interests are varied and for me HUMDRUM Studio is the place to combine and bring together all interests.In addition to the jewelry I upcycle and design myself, I sell vintage and second-hand clothing as well as small furnishings, dishes, vases, candle holders and more. All pieces are collected, picked or created by me. Some pieces comes right out of my closet or flat as I mostly stopped buying new items many years ago.
Besides all this, I have always loved photography and a few years back got my first analog camera. Many of the pictures on my website are pictures taken by me and can also be purchased as prints. It doesn’t stop there.
In February 2024 I finished a training in carpentry. For the future I would love to extend HUMDRUM by another branch with wooden pieces for your home. I don't have any concrete plans as of yet (of course), but I will definitely use leftover wood from workshops for my ideas.
